Hi, I’m Rosie
I am a qualified Personal Trainer and also a Registered Nurse of almost 25 years.
My nursing background combined with a love of fitness and all things health stands me in good stead to assist people to achieve their goals. I pride myself on being able to build rapport with people of all different fitness levels and supporting them on their journey – as well as creating meaningful relationships along the way.
I am an avid health and fitness enthusiast. I grew up in a very sporty family (my dad is seriously one of the fittest men I know) and I really can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t active. Exercise is engrained in me! Through the week I am focused, eat well and train with vigour - come Fridays I love to relax and unwind with a cheeky G&T.
I am a mum of three young boys, so I know first-hand the juggle of parenthood, work and exercise and trying to fit it all in! I have learnt over the years that exercise doesn’t need to be complicated or lengthy to be effective.
Having had three babies, I have a strong interest in delivering safe exercise programmes for postnatal mums. Having completed pelvic floor essentials training, I have sound knowledge in this area.
I truly understand the importance of investing in your physical health as well as using exercise as a mental outlet. It is a very powerful medicine for mental health and wellbeing and helps to keep control of other aspects of my life. I love the saying ‘you are only one workout away from a good mood’.
I am a REPS (Registered Exercise Professional) registered trainer, meaning I meet the New Zealand standards to provide exercise advice. It also means I must continually up-skill to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in exercise delivery as well as hold a current first aid certificate.
“Exercise is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep moving.”
